Michael A. Garofalo is the founder and driving force behind MAG Public Adjusters, Inc., a company built on integrity, industry expertise, and a deep commitment to advocacy within the claims industry. With over a decade of experience in handling insurance claims, Mike brings an unmatched combination of field knowledge, technical certification, and real-world problem-solving to every claim he manages.

Before founding MAG Public Adjusters, Mike worked for two nationally recognized public adjusting firms, where he advocated for policyholders and honed his skills in navigating complex property damage claims, especially related to hurricane damage in Texas, Louisiana, and Florida. His experience includes managing residential and commercial losses of all sizes. Prior to that, he began his career as a Claims Service Specialist and Field Property Adjuster for a respected regional insurance carrier, gaining a comprehensive understanding of insurance company processes and claim strategy—knowledge that now gives his clients a distinct advantage in the public adjusting sphere.

Mike has earned multiple adjuster certifications from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters, showcasing his dedication to professional excellence:

•    SPPA (Senior Professional Public Adjuster) – an elite certification held by only a select group of public adjusting professionals.

•    AIC (Associate in Claims) – a benchmark designation in the insurance industry.

•    AINS (Associate in General Insurance) – demonstrating broad knowledge of insurance operations and best practices.

In addition, Mike is a Certified Property Appraiser & Umpire (CPAU) through the Insurance Appraisal and Umpire Association (IAUA), and he holds an IICRC certification in Water Remediation and Mitigation. His background also includes a role as Project and Business Development Manager for a leading mitigation franchise. He is HAAG Certified in Roof Inspection—a rare and prestigious credential among public adjusters.

Mike's education includes:

•    B.A. in History from Bridgewater State University (2008)

•    A.S. in Business Administration Management from Massasoit Community College (2009)

Mike lives in Rockland, Massachusetts with his wife and two daughters. Deeply rooted in the South Shore community, he is actively involved in youth sports coaching, serves as Chair of the Rockland Recreation Board, and previously served on the Rockland School Committee. He was also a founding member and Director of Fundraising for P.A.R.K. (Play Areas for Rockland Kids), a nonprofit dedicated to creating accessible public playgrounds.
